Almansdam Hunting safaris was created by Johann Badenhorst (Owner and founder) with a goal to share his passion for wildlife, hunting and our beautiful continent with hunters all over the globe. We pride ourselves on making your hunt in Africa an experience of a lifetime.
Johann, his wife Megan and the kids reside in a small town near Kimberley in the Northern Cape. Johann is well known in the community giving the opportunity to hunt countless hunting grounds.
Johann is an avid hunter himself and hunted 39 species in Africa already and guided a lot more. He started hunting with his dad from 4 years old and successfully hunted his first animal at the age of 5 and from there on he was hooked. His passion for hunting and conservation of wildlife took him all over Southern Africa including neighbouring countries to South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Hunting in the sub-Savanna, Karoo and Kalahari in the Northern Cape, the steep and cold mountain sides of the Drakensberg as well as the thick brush in the north of South Africa.
We have multiple concessions throughout South-Africa with our main areas near Kimberley (Northern Cape / Free State) situated more or less in the centre of South-Africa. Our sub-Kalahari veld caters for the most amazing views with abundant of game roaming these areas. Our hunting concessions vary from and half an hour’s drive to one hour’s drive from Kimberley airport.
